Just in time for Easter in Paris, we’re finishing up a little last minute treasure-hunting before we send our container back over the sea to Huff Harrington Home. We’re power-shopping with the A-Team – Alva, that is.
We’re so happy to have our wonderful Alva Harper keeping us company on this trip. She’s our elegant, smart, completely efficient and energetic store manager who keeps the store ticking smoothly along, the merchandise coming in and the vendors happy. Everyone loves Alva, especially our lovely customers who have known her for years here in Buckhead.
We asked Alva to join us on this trip because she’s the expert at smalls – all the little one-of-a-kind special knick knacks and accessories that are impossible to find unless you’re digging and picking away at the antique fairs in France. We’ve had a blast watching her shop and can’t wait to unveil the purchases in May when we unload the goodies.
Here’s an idea of what Alva’s been picking up along the way:
Meanwhile, after scouring the south for goodies, we’ll be in Paris for Easter Sunday. We’re going to an early service at the American Cathedral and then racing off the Les Puces for our final treasure hunt.
Paris is exploding with all things Easter – especially in the chocolate and flower departments – and every window is a visual delight.
There’s nothing more magical than Easter in Paris and we’re so happy to be here with our cute A-Team. As they say here in Paree: joyeuses Pacques (and a happy Easter to one and all.)
P.S: we first published this blog on Tuesday, March 22nd. We were sitting in Charles de Gaulle airport waiting on our bags and had a little time on our hands. Later that morning, we began to hear about the awful news from Brussels. Our hearts go out to everyone affected by this tragedy and we say “bon courage” to the brave people of Belgium – Meg and Ann
