It’s not always glamorous, but it’s always worth it! If the best part of our job is shopping for goodies in France, you might not have known it last week, had you dropped by Huff Harrington Home. In fact, what started on a rainy day in the south of France a couple of months ago, came to an end on a rainy day here in Atlanta. And while we were struggling with beefy boxes, pesky peanuts and where to stack ever-growing overflowing merchandise, checking off inventory while dodging the raindrops, it might have been hard to believe that we love this job – and wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world!
It all started here, on a rainy day in the south of France …
.. And ended here, on a rainy day in Georgia!
Indeed, the route from vendor in France to client’s home in America is often a circuitous one. And it’s sometimes hard to believe that a hidden treasure, buried under a pile of stuff, can end up being the star of the show when the curtain goes up at our store in Atlanta. But that’s what makes it so much fun – and worth every minute of unglam that goes into unveiling the glam. Here’s a peek:

And so little by little, and with the help of our very clever, dedicated and hard working employees, the store is going from this:
From the aha moment and the adrenaline rush that comes from spying a unique treasure in a remote part of France, to putting that merchandise on the floor in our store in Atlanta, there are so many hoops and hurdles that never cease to amaze us – but would never ever stop us from doing it all over again!
After all we know that without some pain, there is no gain … And we’re ready to start all over again!
