We’ve got a new obsession at Huff Harrington Home and it involves all the things we love: luggage, bags, monograms and plenty of gorgeous colors to choose from. We’re talking about Jon Hart, a San Antonio-based company that makes a dizzying array of products that are good-looking – and practical.
It’s a funny story: one of my oldest and dearest friends (who happens to be Dallas-based and in possession of a killer eye for trends) mentioned the line to us a few years ago. It didn’t really sink in until the friend gifted my high-school graduates a couple monogrammed Jon Hart bags. I was smitten – even more so after I borrowed one of the bags for a long weekend. They are undeniably good-looking, beautifully constructed and tough as nails. What else could you possibly want in a bag?
With all the gift-giving coming up (grads, moms, teachers and dads), we think this is a perfect time to say “bienvenue” to our new Texas luggage line. (Maybe that should be “howdy” instead.)
There’s a huge range of products, from passport covers, handy little ID wallets, dopp kits and money clips to make-up bags, overnighters, totes and even suitcases. We’ve got the best sellers here at the store and we can’t wait to show them off.
The most popular items are made from a heavy duty coated canvas with natural leather trim, handles and a little patch that is personalizable – and the styles are cute and functional. We’re loving the big weekend bags like the Burleson, which is a perfectly chic overnighter (I’m already planning on ordering one of these for our next trip to France…)
We also love the duffle, perfect for guys and girls.
Jon Hart sources their leather from the same factory that produces for another high-end French brand:
Ordering is easy and the products delivers to our store within about a week. And there are lots of choices for monogramming although we’re partial to the gold or silver hot stamp:
And their gifty items are perfect: thoughtful, personalized – and so cute.
Their best-seller is a nicely-sized pouch, the Chico, that’s perfect for slipping into a larger bag or using for life’s what-nots:
And for those heading to college this fall, this clever little bag sticks to the clear-bag policies but is pretty chic at the same time:
Do we sound thrilled to have Jon Hart at Huff Harrington Home? We are! Sourcing new merchandise is one of the most fun parts of our job and we get excited when we find something we’re passionate about (like Mad et Len, the French candle line we discovered back in January.) So, we give a nice warm welcome to the Jon Hart products and hope you’ll love them as much as we do.
