We were jumping up and down when we saw that our favorite hometown design magazine, Atlanta Homes and Lifestyles, just published the images we had impatiently waiting for: a brand new and totally swoon/drool-worthy project belonging to Atlanta builder, Michael Ladisic.
We go way back with Michael – personally and professionally. He built a wonderful house for us (the Harringtons) six years and we just finished our second project with him a few months ago: the Nest (stay tuned about the Nest. There will be photos soon!) And, over at Huff Harrington Home, he helped design and build our wonderful check-out/gift wrap station: a glorious combination of efficiency, style and incorporating fabulous old barn wood from North Georgia.
What do we love so much about Michael’s aesthetic? We’d run out of fingers trying to check off all the points: superbly crafted, elegantly designed and always plenty of little details that come from someone who is technical and creative at the same time. And did we mention he’s fun to work with? Full of energy, full of ideas and take it from us: this is a man for whom “no” is not a word.
When Michael bought an enviable double lot in the Buckhead neighborhood where he’s lived for years with his cute family (including four daughters), he set about designing his dream home. He teamed up with some of Buckhead’s best pros, including architect Linda MacArthur, designer Sherry Hart and kitchen/bath designer extraordinaire, Matthew Quinn.
Michael spent about a year or so working on his home and we’re here to say that no detail was overlooked. It’s fresh, clean-lined, light-filled and totally livable in the most wonderful, creative way. Every imaginable option was carefully considered and beautifully executed, from the metallic bullnose trim and exquisite tile in the master bath to the wow! kitchen elements that are classic and new all at the same time. The house is large, rambling and warmly accommodating with a space for everyone and everything.
Feast your eyes! (all images from Atlanta Homes and Lifestyles and gorgeously photographed by Erica George Dines.)
We’re in awe of this guy whose magnificent, gracious and welcoming homes are things of sheer beauty, functionality and inspiration. Bravo, Michael! Your hometown fans over here at Huff Harrington are applauding your building brilliance.
