Pardon our absence as we shop for antiques!
Back many years ago, during an unfortunate period in my high school years when I was swept up in a family frenzy of accompanying every birthday present with a limerick or rhyme, I ran out of creative juices at one point and gently revolted by coming up with my own version of a birthday card, which read:
I haven’t time
To finish my homework,
And make this rhyme.
It worked like a charm and I used it over and over for years to come, each time getting a little chuckle from its recipient (who probably appreciated it more than my usual bad rhyme).
So, in these days of frantic market buying, when we are burning the midnight oil and traveling to faraway places looking for the unique je ne sais quoi that we can’t live without, I beg your forgiveness and say,
I haven’t time
To traipse through markets in the rain, log miles and miles at fairs, fill the store with fabulous new and unique Frenchie merchandise that you can’t get anywhere else, write a blog and
Make this rhyme! (I know, that was really lame.)
Please forgive me …. We’ve been in Paris and we’re now in small vineyard village in the south of France, where we’re shopping in the rain, and off to another village near the Mediterranean for a few last days of shopping. We’ll see you when we get back, and promise to be more chipper and creative after we dry off, and get a good night’s sleep. Merci! A bientot,
PS If you have something you’re looking for, let us know. Right now, we’re in hot pursuit of more of these:
And we’ve already found these:
So, when we’re not feeling like this:
… we’re pretty excited about our purchases, and dying to help you find what you’re looking for too. So just let us know and we’ll just keep looking and looking!
