Dateline: Paris….we’ve just finished up our very favorite shopping expedition at Maison et Objet in Paris. The weather in Paris was awful and it took us planes, trains and automobiles to get there but we finally ended up in the City of Light.
When we arrived, exhausted, we were exhilarated by the heavenly sight of Paris in the snow. The city was quiet and even more magical under its little blanket of the white stuff.
The next morning, we bundled up and made a beeline for our favorite vendors. It’s always a sensory feast for the eyes and we felt like kids in a candy store. M & O is absolutely enormous and it can be overwhelming to decipher the next big thing but we did pick up on one thing that has been missing in our lives: color, color and more color.
We have a sort of love-hate relationship with color and use it with restraint both personally and at Huff Harrington Home…but this week, it felt refreshing, fun and carefree.

These brights got us thinking and we did a little snooping around for snippets of color that just made us feel so good:
Back at M & O, we loved this quirky display:
Which led us to this:
and this followed, naturally:
We’re not sure if we’re confirmed coloraholics yet but we’re having a great time taking it slowly with this new relationship. In fact, we are so excited about dabbling in color that we did a cute vignette to celebrate upcoming Valentines Day: all pretty in pink, fresh and just a little sassy. Ohh la la.
